The Late Late Show

Liz O'Donnell was interviewed by Pat Kenny about her life in politics over fifteen years and her move to broadcasting and the making of Far Away Up Close.

The conversation ranged over her political career, including the experience of being a negotiator in the multi party talks leading to the Good Friday Agreement; her views on the future of the Progressive Democrats and the traumatic events of the last General Election when the party lost all but two of its seats. Clips from Far Away Up Close were shown and a discussion followed on the merits and complexities of the Irish Aid programme including government to government funding.
